Corrections, Retractions and Post-Publication Discussions Policy

LJLS is committed to maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and transparency of its published scholarly record.

Corrections

Errors identified after publication that do not invalidate the scientific findings or conclusions may be addressed through a formal correction notice. Corrections are published transparently and linked to the original article.

Retractions

Retraction may be considered when published findings are unreliable because of major errors, research misconduct, plagiarism, fabricated or falsified data, unethical research practices, or other serious concerns that compromise the integrity of the article.

Retraction notices must clearly identify the affected article, explain the reason for retraction, and remain accessible to readers. The original article will be appropriately labelled as retracted and linked to the retraction notice.

Post-Publication Discussions

LJLS welcomes appropriate scholarly discussion concerning published articles. Comments or concerns submitted after publication are assessed objectively and may be referred to the original authors for a response.

All corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions are handled in accordance with recognised publication ethics standards, including the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Retraction Guidelines.
