Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative Tools Policy

LJLS acknowledges the evolving role of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in scientific research and academic publishing. Their use in manuscript preparation must be limited to language refinement and the improvement of author-written content, while preserving the originality, scientific integrity, and intellectual contribution of the authors.

AI-assisted tools may be used to improve the language, grammar, spelling, clarity, and readability of manuscripts originally written by the authors. The generation or writing of scientific content using AI tools, including research findings, interpretations, discussions, conclusions, or other substantive manuscript content, is not acceptable.

Authors must disclose any use of AI tools for language refinement, identifying the tool used and briefly describing its purpose. Authors retain full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and scientific validity of the submitted manuscript. AI tools cannot be listed as authors or credited with authorship.
