Submission Guidelines

The Medical Technology Journal of Applied Science (MTJAS) welcomes high-quality manuscripts that align with the journal’s aims and scope and demonstrate scientific originality, methodological rigour, and clear relevance to medical technology, laboratory sciences, and applied biomedical research.

The journal considers original research articles and review articles that make meaningful scientific or practical contributions to medical technology, laboratory medicine, biomedical sciences, engineering, biotechnology, medical devices, health informatics, and related applied fields.

Manuscripts must be written clearly and concisely and should present scientifically sound methods, appropriate analyses, and conclusions supported by the findings. Studies involving human participants, human specimens, animals, or patient-related data must comply with relevant ethical, regulatory, and data-protection requirements and must include appropriate approval or consent statements, where applicable.

All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal and compliance with the submission requirements. Manuscripts that meet these criteria are subsequently evaluated through a rigorous double-anonymised peer-review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from one another throughout the review process. This process is intended to support a fair, impartial, and objective assessment of each manuscript.

Manuscripts submitted to MTJAS must be original, must not have been published previously, and must not be under consideration by another journal. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all submissions comply with the journal’s policies on authorship, conflicts of interest, funding, research ethics, plagiarism, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence tools.
