Editorial Policy
1. Scope & Journal Mission
The Medical Technology Journal of Applied Science (MTJAS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishing original research and review articles. Our mission is to:
-
Advance knowledge in medical technology and applied sciences.
-
Provide a platform for researchers, academics, and professionals.
-
Showcase interdisciplinary research that connects medical technology with practical healthcare solutions.
2. Peer Review Process
MTJAS employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest quality of published content.
-
Initial Check: The Editor-in-Chief first assesses each manuscript for suitability to the journal's scope and quality standards.
-
Expert Review: Submissions that pass the initial check are sent to a minimum of two external experts.
-
Anonymity: Reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the process to ensure impartiality.
-
Decision: The Editor-in-Chief makes a final decision based on reviewer feedback, which can be Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject.
3. Publication Ethics
MTJAS strictly adheres to the ethical guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). We have a strict policy against academic misconduct, including:
-
Plagiarism: Submissions are screened to prevent the use of others' work without proper citation.
-
Data Manipulation: Falsifying or fabricating research data is strictly prohibited.
-
Conflict of Interest: All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflicts that may influence the editorial process.
-
Authorship: All individuals listed as authors must have made a substantial contribution to the research.
4. Open Access
As an open-access journal, MTJAS makes all published articles freely available to a global audience. This policy supports the wide dissemination of scientific research and maximizes the impact of our authors' work by making it easily accessible without subscription fees.
5. Article Corrections & Retractions
-
Corrections: If minor, non-scientific errors are found, a formal correction notice will be published and linked to the original article.
-
Retractions: In cases of severe ethical breaches or scientific misconduct, the article will be formally retracted with a clear explanation provided in a retraction notice.
